Swore Farm continued

We had fun but not as much fun as we could have had if you had been with us.

Swore Farm

We went to Swore Farm to do that thing we do at Swore Farm.

First Annual Syringa Fun Run

The PTA sponsored a fun run as a fund raiser for the school. It got off to a slow start but we persisted and in the end the tortoise beat the hare. It was a huge success!
Sadie loved the Fun Run
Elise and Maddy loved the Fun Run
Maggie loved the fun Run
Emma did not love the Fun Run. She was in tears and done before she hit lap number two (they all ran three laps). I didn't take any pictures of her because I figured she didn't need to be reminded of such a horrible thing

That is just right

It was Gavin's turn to take snack to preschool. The color of the week was orange so we talked about all the different things he could take that were orange. At some point during our conversation, I realized I was doing all the talking, so I asked him what he would like to take. He thought for just a minute and said "Something that is smooth and not too coooolllllld". He decided that cheese (cut into pumpkins and leaves) and graham crackers with orange frosting would be just the thing. As I finished making the last of the snack Gavin said to me "Mom that is just right!" Funny boy.

Tender Mercies

Everyone slept through the night.

Tonight we Prayed

We thanked our Heavenly Father for the ghosts in our neighborhood that left a plate of treats on our doorstep.
We thanked Him for good friends that help us with the heavy things.

And we thanked Him for your mom and Dennis for making our windows beautiful.

And then we asked Him to help everyone sleep through the night so that we could wake up refreshed and happy to be alive.

The slump is over!

After several recent failed attempts at a good potato salad, I finally redeemed myself. You would have loved it. Probably would have even had seconds.
