Christmas came a little early

Santa dropped a few gifts off for the kids at the Filiaga's house. Ivor couldn't wait for Christmas so the kids got to open some gifts on Sunday.

This big box had several smaller boxes inside it. It made Gavin giggle everytime he opened one box and found another one.

Liam got some P.J's and a new outfit because he is growing so fast we can't keep him clothed!

Gavin also got this telescope. He played with it all day today and is even sleeping with some of it's parts tonight.

You can tell by the kids' faces how excited they were. We probably could have called that night Christmas and they would have been just fine with it.

I can see clearly now

I was quite proud of myself on Sunday when I put the right contact in my eye on the first try. I was even more impressed when I put the left contact in on the first try also. But there was a problem. My eye was burning and everything seemed to be more blurry with it in. Or was it? If I really tried hard to focus things became clearer but my eye felt like it was on fire. I kept blinking and rolling my eyes around trying to fix things but it was not helping. The Sunday before I had a similar experience and when I took the contact out after church I found out that the contact was torn. I was afraid that maybe this one was torn and I was going to have to take it out and put a new one in but this contact was brand new. I had to take it out of its package to put it in my eye. I didn't want to take it out because I had just done so well getting them in on the first try. I knew I wouldn't be able to do that again. So I just kept rubbing it trying to make it better. After about 10 minutes I finally caved and decided I couldn't go to church with my eye burning like it was. I happened to look at the little bubble pack it came in a realized that it was your contact I was wearing. I took it out and it took several attempts to put the correct contact back in.

First Haircut

Lily wasn't so sure about getting her hair cut at first,

but she was very pleased with the way it turned out, and I am pretty sure she thinks she was the one that made it look this way.

No kidding

"this is pocatello school district 25 letting you know that due to severe blizzard conditons there will be no school."
That is the phone call I got at 6:15 in the morning.

Saturday night at Randy's tumbling

We had some free passes to Randy's so we went and had a great time.Emma showed me everything she has learned this year in gym.

Lilly was just crazy the whole night. She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything.

Gavin was also extremely uninhibited. The place was very crowded but that didn't stop him from doing everything he wanted to do.

This is Lily complaining because it was time to go.

Liam also wanted to join in all the fun but I would only let him crawl through this tunnel. He spent most of the night yelling at me.
